Acepis hosted the webinar on Access to Information for Youth Engagement in Public Finance on 28 August 2020. Overall, it focused on challenges by youth in accessing information (generally and specific to public finance) and opportunities that exist. This webinar built on the inaugural one on The Role of Youth in Public Debt Sustainability in Kenya Post COVID-19 held on June 30, 2020; and a training supported by UNESCO to stimulate civic engagement of youth through Media and Information Literacy. It congregated young people, youth-led CSOs, youth serving organisations, media, government officers, academia and legal minds to discuss opportunities, issues and challenges to promoting access to, interrogation and use of public finance information amongst young people in Kenya.

On 30 June 2020, Acepis hosted a webinar on The Role of Youth in Public Debt Sustainability in Kenya Post Covid-19. The objective of the webinar was to ignite and sustain interest among young people to play an active role in holding the government accountable for sustainable public debt management in Kenya. This was to be attained by (i) generating evidence on their perception and understanding of public debt, (ii) increasing awareness and access to information on public debt amongst the youth and (iii) advocating for their inclusion in public finance management processes. The webinar congregated over 100 participants consisting of youth and youth leaders from Think Tanks, CSOs and media.
